My Visit to Windy City Live!

Yesterday I got to be a part of the midday talk show, 'Windy City Live.' It was a really cool experience. I reserved my ticket a couple weeks prior to the date. I didn't half expect to become a part of the audience, just because I was waitlisted when I did try to reserve it the first time. About two days later I got an email that confirmed my ticket and I was ecstatic!
I was looking forward to this moment all week and am fairly sad that it had passed. As I prepared to leave the house for the show, I rushed to put on my eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara. I was thinking that I had to look my best if I was going to be in the same room as Val Warner. I picked out my outfit the night before, (I also had an interview the same day) which was a casual fit; a nice sweater, grey pants, and my Doc Martens.
The audience had to be there at 11:30, though the show doesn't start until 1 pm. I caught the Ashland bus to the 63rd green line station at around 10:30-ish, and by the time I got on the train I was freaking out that I was going to be late. I even texted Mr. Pryor who thought I wouldn't make it in time either. I ended up making to the the State and Lake stop at exactly 11:25 and got to the back of a line that wasn't as nearly as long as I expected.

Standing in line I didn't make it inside the building until around 11:40, which kind of offended me because of the fact that I kept clock watching on the train, worried that I was going to miss my chance to be a part of 'Windy City Live'. I made it inside, retrieved my number, and was surprised to see Taylor Bennett walk in the door. I told him that I specifically came to this show to see him and he thanked me with a hug.

The guests waited in a hallway with seats for another 45 minutes, we were seated at 12:30. The set was much smaller than portrayed on TV. I sat all the way at the top in between a couple and a pair of elderly women.
I didn't know that being part of a studio audience is so exhausting! We had to clap so much that my hands began to hurt and get a bit dry. I had to continue to smile incase the camera panned to me and my face was plastered on live TV inside millions of homes.
The audience received free bags from Emerald Coasts Vacations. We were also blessed with a performance by Taylor Bennett's artist Bianca Shaw. After the show we were able to take pictures with Ryan and Val. That was the coolest thing about the day, but the best thing was that Val called me cute!

I most definitely will be back for another visit, maybe sooner than later. Check out more photos from my visit at 'Windy City Live' below.
This was beautiful, I felt like you took me on a trip through Chicago. I enjoyed your experience. ❤️❤️❤️
